Guests visiting Florida this summer are truly spoiled for choice because another new attraction has just opened! This time it was the turn of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and the opening of the highly anticipated Phoenix Rising! 

Located in the Pantopia area of the park, Phoenix Rising officially opened to the public on July 21st 2024, replacing the old Sand Serpent attractions as Busch Garden’s tenth roller coaster. This suspended roller coaster is a family-friendly adventure that will have you soaring above the Serengeti Plain as you navigate through thrilling twists and turns in the skies. 

Phoenix Rising Stats 

  • It’s the tallest and longest inverted family coaster in North America 
  • It’s Busch Gardens’ first roller coaster with on board audio and lighting 
  • It has a height requirement of just 42” 
  • It reaches speeds of up to 44 miles per hour
