Have always preferred to buy white goods from high st retailers but needed a microwave within 24 hours so builders could fit it for me. Applliance Direct had one that fit a new unit and could deliver the following day. Lots of real-time delivery notifications meant I didn't have to keep the builders waiting which I really appreciated. Its small but perfectly ok for my needs and looks very smart in the new unit.

Advantages:
Was impressed by quietness level from near silent up to a medium hum. Light weight. Portable. You can have it on recharge while it's running.
The price is reasonable for what it does.
Disadvantages:
On medium speed with oscillation it lasts 6/7 hours on full charge. The bleep noise on pressing any button.
Cannot believe we found the item that we was looking for, checked the usual places like Amazon, Google etc. and came across Appliances direct. Decent price and received item in perfect condition, kept informed along the way where my item was. Will come here again in future.
Found a great Air cooler however was unable to pay by American Express which meant a delay in placing the order. We had to request for an invoice to be able to then pay by bank transfer, the delay meant we missed the next day delivery cut off.
The cooler itself made a big difference to our office temperature in this current heatwave. Reduced the temperature by 4 degrees to a more comfortable 22. As we are unable to fit an aircon unit this was the next best option. Its relatively quite in operation and if you need a bit more cooler air then adding some ice into the top tray really helps. The team are very happy.
If Amex was accepted as a payment method I would have given 5 star.

Nobody told me DPD needed a pin for…
Nobody told me DPD needed a pin for delivery. Then it wouldn't let me redirect to a friend who was off work.
I don't see the problem, I live in a super quiet rural area with clear instructions to just pop it in the out building like they normally do.

My mums 88 and driver on his own
My mums 88 and driver on his own, took away old appliance but said not covered to bring new one in house and would either leave it on drive or take it back and put old one back in house. Agreed to leave it in garage to avoid the possibility it would be stolen from drive.

Reconditioned but still faulty
I bought reconditioned on the promise that the air conditioner has been fully inspected. It is faulty, probably with the same issue for which it was originally returned. It works, but has clearly not been properly repaired. As its too heavy and inconvenient to repackage and return I'll put up with it, but I'm not happy.

The delivery day and time was adhered to, even arrived a little bit earlier. The delivery guys, we're professional and polite. I would recommend anyone looking for any kind of appliance, to give these a look.

Bought an oven from them
Bought an oven from them, booked a collection of the old oven and an installation of the new one, paid an absurd amount of money compared to the cost of the oven... all this to be asked for an extra £40 in cash by the guy installing the oven because "there is no plug in set up for it". It took him 5 minutes to finish the installation, I ended up paying twice the price of the oven for it to get fixed and their HO still has not come back to me yet.

Out of stock 4 days after the purchase
Ordered a TV on Monday just to learn on Thursday (a day before the delivery) that it's out of stock. Wasted a week of the Club World Cup I intended to watch on the new TV. They could have notified me the same day I bought or next day, but not 4 days after. Dissapointing..
